A-Z of Brain Disorders
The Brain Foundation's A-Z of Brain Disorders aims to provide a resource for people newly-diagnosed with brain-related disorders, their friends and relatives, and health professionals. The directory contains basic information, reviewed by medical experts, about the condition and where to turn for additional information and for support.
This section of the site is still under construction. Ultimately the directory will list over 100 disorders, diseases and injuries of the brain, spinal cord and nervous system, and contain a brief description of each condition, under the following headings:
- Description
- Treatment
- Prognosis
- Support services
- Links to other websites for further information.

The Brain Foundation gratefully acknowledges the support of Perpetual Philanthropic Foundations, in particular The Baxter Charitable Foundation and The Perpetual Foundation for support of the A-Z of Brain Disorders.
Methodology
A specialist medical practitioner reviews each entry in the Directory.
The directory is written in a language accessible to a layperson.
The Brain Foundation records its great appreciation to Margaret Parker (M.A.) who has researched and compiled many of the entries in the Directory. Acknowledgement also of the contributions of Judy Vargo and Kari Keenan.
